During my own divorce this was the part that I probably found the hardest in the end. By the time my marriage ended I'd dealt with the emotional side of things to an extent, but I wasn't prepared for the avalanche of paperwork and stress the actually legal process brought - on top of dealing with my financial situation at the time. It went on for around 2 years, even as I was in a new relationship. And at times it caused a huge amount of ongoing stress between me and my new partner.Don't underestimate the effect legal and/or financial issues can have on your capacity to date and build a new relationship.
